Hello! Looking for singers and songwriters to write, record, and play out with. Bands I like include Slowdive, MUNA, Loma, The Japanese House, Radiohead, Beck’s Sea Change album, The War on Drugs, Orchestra Boabob, Hiss Golden Messenger, Bon Iver, etc. etc. You can find my music by searching for “The Lightning Bug Situation” on any of the streaming platforms - this is what I’ve done (mostly) on my own and now I’m looking for collaborators, some people to make new/original music with. I’m 47 and have a halfway decent recording room in my home. I play guitar, drums, bass, piano, sing, and produce. I used to tour in an alt-country band back in the day (a friend got signed to a label), but when my wife and I had kids I didn’t want to be on the road all the time, so I’ve been recording on my own mostly. But now the kids are older and I’m looking to make music with other people again. I’m pretty flexible about what/when/where/how — mostly looking for musical chemistry and fun — though ideally, eventually, I’d love to find a long-term collaborator, somebody to get together with maybe 1x a week to practice and record and to play shows every couple months.
