What up , Im just testing some new methods to see what kind of talent is lurking. I’ve been building a project since my departure from doing world tours with the death metal band Nile, I played bass for them but im a guitarist first and foremost. I’ve played blackened death metal my entire life and career but these days I’ve grown into a much more progressive style of modern metal. I hesitate to admit my appreciation of Djent because there’s a lot of talent free units in that genre but there’s also some of the most amazing artists I’ve ever heard in the genre as well so it’s a bit of a double edged sword for me. I’ve got a drummer that anyone into metal here has heard of but I’ll stick back right now from posting his name because, well, that’s just bad business. I’m looking for bass players, guitarists, vocalist, possible keys, just looking for anyone into aggressive heavy music that’s confident with their instrument and has some kind of experience. I’m not really wanting to follow the typical schematic for this process so if your into anything from Uneven Structure to Gojira to ugh I hate to say it, Meshuggah, I don’t want to even attempt any form of meshuggah cloning just so I’m clear, they’re just a good representation of the sonic palette this project resides in. Progressive modern metal with influences from Djent, death and black metal but I do find myself staying away from blast beats these days. After a 15 year stint playing guitar for Lecherous Nocturne and a 7 year run playing bass for Nile, as much as I’ll always love and adore 240 bpm grind, I just want to explore other musical avenues and so far it’s really been something I’m really enjoying.
