Experienced front man with over five hundred performances under the belt, an understanding in band development, both stage presence and stage awareness, marketing knowledge, ability to write both music and lyrics, and always maintains the image. Hello, my name is Chris. For thirteen years I was the front man for The Razorblade Dolls, an industrial metal horror band here in Dallas where this is being posted. During that tenure I used my creative efforts from my experience working at the local haunted houses both as an actor and with special effects to develop a stage show that would completely suck all the energy out of the room when we were finished. The performances were theatrical shock rock, but not cheap or campy. I was responsible for the majority of the lyrical content as well as a minority of music that was written and peppered into the albums and set lists. I own my own PA system as well as my own instruments. We were heavy with the electronics so most of my instruments are synths. My DAW is Cubase 12 in the event we were to pass music back and fourth. So what exactly am I looking for? Well let's start with what I am NOT looking for. I do not want to jam with you. What I mean by that is don't ask me to load up a PA system, travel with it across town, and you have no idea what you want to do, but you've bought a case of beer and now we are going to go into a room, drink, and pretend that we are making progress. I do not wish to do covers or tributes, I've come too far with my own work to ride the coat tails of someone else. I would enjoy something that is dark, horror related if possible. If you add electronics that's a plus, but not a deal breaker. Not death metal, death core, or brutal. I scream, but the audience understands what I am saying. I wish for a band that has a conceptual image, not two of us look one way, but the other is wearing camo shorts and cut off t-shirt. Treat me with the same respect I will give you. Don’t have me travel to you, only to try to simplify my experience level and act like it's my first day in an industry I've never worked in. I have held jobs that have allowed me to work in bands all of my life. Held meaning I don't get fired because I am a screw up. I have my own transportation and a place to live. I am not a weekend warrior, but if you want to tour or travel out of town for shows, I would need to know in advance. I understand that all bands carry a level of investment both with time and money and I am more than happy to help keep the lights on. My voice is on Spotify under The Razorblade Dolls.
